Multi-Model Credit Score Import
Multi-Model Credit Score Import
LendingPad now supports the import of credit reports containing multiple scoring models, opening the door for clients to pull reports that include both Classic FICO and VantageScore 4.0 scores and have all model data imported and available on the loan. This is a significant enhancement for clients navigating the evolving credit scoring landscape and preparing for broader adoption of alternative score models in mortgage lending.
What's changed:
- Multi-Model Credit Report Import When a credit report contains more than one scoring model, LendingPad now correctly imports all available model data into the loan, displaying scores from each model separately so users have full visibility into the data returned by the credit provider. Previously, only a single model's data could be imported and displayed.
- Classic FICO as the System Default When multiple score models are present on a report, the system automatically defaults to Classic FICO scores for loan-level credit score calculation, preserving existing behavior and ensuring no disruption to current workflows upon release.
- Model Selection at the Loan Level Users with the appropriate permission can now select which scoring model should be used for loan-level credit score calculations directly from the Credit Score detail screen. Model options are presented with a radio button for each available model, clearly organized with the model name displayed above each score grid. The selected model name is also displayed alongside the credit score in the Loan Information section for clear at-a-glance identification.
- Credit Score Calculation Method at the Loan Level Users with the appropriate permission can now also modify the credit score calculation method at the loan level via a new dropdown in the Credit Score detail screen. The field defaults to the calculation method configured on the selected loan program, and any change immediately recalculates the representative score based on the newly selected method. When no loan program is selected, the system uses the lowest middle score across all borrowers for the selected model.
Getting Started
To utilize this feature, clients must contact their credit report provider to request that multiple scoring models be returned when credit reports are ordered.
New "Manage Loan Credit Scores Detail" Permission A new role-based permission has been added under the Loans tab in User Roles to control access to model selection and calculation method overrides at the loan level. This permission is off by default for all users upon release. When off, the model selection radio buttons and calculation method dropdown are disabled and auto-populated from the loan program configuration. When on, users can freely adjust both settings on the loan.
To modify credit score details, including the scoring model or calculation method, users with the appropriate permission can select the calculator icon on the Credit Score field.

The Loan Credit Scores Detail panel will display, where the scoring model can be selected using the radio buttons and the calculation method can be adjusted via the Loan Credit Score Calculation Type dropdown.
