These Borrower Needs articles provide a comprehensive overview of the Borrower Needs functionality within LendingPad. Designed to streamline communication and simplify the document collection process, Borrower Needs empowers LendingPad users to request specific documents and custom information directly from borrowers through the Point of Sale (POS) portal.

With integrated messaging on individual documents, streamlined review workflows, and automated syncing to the loan file's Document Manager, this feature reduces friction and ensures a smoother, more transparent origination process for both LOS users and borrowers.   • At least one borrower need must be present on the file in order for the borrower to upload documents within the POS.

  • Users can manually add a need to an existing loan if one is not present so the borrower can view and upload docs within the POS 
  • Admins may follow the admin setup link above to set defaults for the entire company to fire automatically on loans when they are created either through the POS or LOS. 
  • LOs may also create their own borrower needs in their profile > borrower needs. Setup is the same as the admin setup link above but within the LO level. 
  • If you would like just one borrower need for generic upload simply create a generic one and mark it default.
